James I can’t believe
That today I must grieve
For you my dear friend
And our times together end
You discovered me
Head of the gallery
Paying me to paint the sea
With a rock and woman-tree
With ardor we went to task
Uncovering layers of a poet’s past
That he not feel forgotten and alone
We inherited the wisdom of that poet’s home
With this jewel reflecting on
Our friendship to be long and strong
Your desire to find your voice
In poetry – a beautiful choice
The last of the “Faux-Pas”
Grave reason to pause
I’ll light a candle as a sign
To create icons with your sweetness in mind
